Thoughts
"Desperate Times"
A generation lost in the sea of information
Can't seem to escape the desperation,
Going towards this destination.

Gone with the abstract and the odds are stacked
But just pack another bowl,
You'll never loose control so keep on being an actor in this show.

Looking for something to hold but it always grows old
But you can't let go of your false hope
In these desperate times so just keep on with the lies
Hiding and waiting for a sign but you're better off waiting to finally die.

Society says we have to be something with meaning
But were keen to see its only a machine so we flee to street
Just lost in this concrete dream desiring something tangible
But we can't even handle the intangible.

Just another walking billboard for corporate America,
Another tax payer so the government can afford another war
Scare you into being a consumer whore, buy a new ford, swipe that card
It's not that hard and dont even regard the debt you start.

Grab your weapon because were tired of this lesson
In this mentality and reality, a decree to trade humanity
For what ever society deems.

Corporate downsizing and outsourcing throwing people in the alleys and
streets, not able to eat or even meet there basic needs, with CEOs holding
12.3 million in pay roll and there workers going home with only minimum
wage to show and the senators and governors dont know as long as they
get their piece of the dough.

So grab your thought, grab your brush and art, grab your poem and guitar.
Say you fought, and dont depart until the last beat of your heart
So grab your glock, clinch your fist, and let them hear the shots,
Say you saw the revolution that resisted the exchange of humanity for capitalist governed democracies.

Opionin
How this generation is lost in desperate times scraping for something they don't even know themselves.
